Where can I find detailed implementation notes on Member Management?   

Member Management includes a detailed 'Notes' section that is accessible from the top level menu.
The notes are always available in the m2Trial database as well as individual databases.

What will Member Management cost? 

Member Management is offered as a hosted service for £0.05p per member per year.  If a electronic membership 'card' is sent by email instead of printing and posting then this gives a cost saving of at least £0.19p per member. There is also a one-off set up charge of £75.00p.

Can I import my existing membership data? 

Importing existing data may require it to go through  what is normally a simple conversion process. There may be an extra charge for this service depending on how much work is involved.

Can I change the order in which the results of Member Search are listed?

The results of a Member Search can be sorted by clicking on the underlined heading in the top row. Clicking a second time will reverse the sort order.

What is the FileNo field under Direct Debits?

The Bacstel file used to submit Direct Debits to the bank includes a coding field set to 01 for Direct Debits that have been used before and 17 for new Direct Debits. (there are other values but these are the most common). The field will normally be set automatically on the download file. Where necessary the automatic calculation can be overridden by manually entering a FileNo.

What is the Collector/Batch code?

To aid the traceability of subscription payments, payment details can only be entered by an Membership Administrator who has also been given a collector code by the Records Officer. The batch number is intended to identify a set of payments entered by a Collector which would normally match a deposit made to the bank.

There are only 4 titles in the drop down list. Can I add another one?

Most of the drop down fields are populated from tables that may be added to using services available to the Records Officer.

Why can't I see the function to add a new title?

In order to ensure the integrity of the system the services that are provided to add items to the drop down lists and grant access rights are only available to a member with Records Officer privileges. More than one person can have Record Officer privileges but it is recommended that the number be kept as small as possible.
